Logo Design | What Does It Say About Your Company?

Your business logo is often the very first thing a potential customer sees. It could be on your business card, business vehicle or an advertisment and needs to communicate your company name and/or industry in a very short period of time.

We strongly recommend against abstract logos, without any tetxt, for SMEs and new businesses because you simply do not have the marketing budget to get that logo design into peoples minds. The Nike swoosh is a great example of abstract logo design. It's very rare you actually see them use the word "Nike2 on any of their adds, because they do not need to. The reason they do not need to is that tehy are a long standing company that has millions of pounds to spend on getting that logo noticed.

Getting your business name and/or URL across should be your first priority and then think about how you can encorporate that with images/graphics that will be associated with your service/product.

Latest Logo Design

Wrexham based Primary School, Hafod-Y-Wern, held a school competition and their logo was designed by a pupil.

Their logo design is used throught the shcool and is even embroidered on to some parts of their unifrm, so it made sense to have this logo design encorporated on their school website.

The only digital version the school had was a embroidered version (hover over image), which we used as a guide to create a new logo design from scratch.

As you can see the name of the school is clearly visible and the the graphic of family/friends holding hands depicts family and community orientated.
